Altar
Guild
The Altar Guild is responsible for the
preparation of the altar for all services in the parish. This involves
taking care of and maintaining the linens, vestments, torches, and all
items used during services. Members are scheduled in teams, which serve
on a rotating basis. This ministry is vital to the liturgical life of
our parish, and people of all ages are welcome to join us.
Lectors and Eucharistic Ministers
Our devoted group of Lay Readers and Lectors serve regularly at
all services. Lectors read lessons and the Prayers of the People.
Eucharistic Ministers assist in the distribution of the sacrament are
licensed by the Bishop.
Acolytes
"Acolyte" comes from a Greek word meaning "attendant" or
"helper." Persons of all ages are welcome to assist in this important
ministry. The Crucifer carries the cross in processions and
assists the Presider in preparing the altar. The Gospel Bearer
carries the Gospel Book in procession and also accepts the alms basin.
The Torch Bearers carry the torches.
